Shannon Rae Lindsey received a MFA in Studio Art from the University of South Carolina and a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida. She has participated in multiple solo and group exhibitions throughout the Southeast as an interdisciplinary artist who explores drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation with unconventional art materials and processes. Her work embodies order and disorder to manifest her understanding of entropy. She was the winner of the 2014 701 CCA Prize which identifies and recognizes artists 40 years and younger whose work is exemplary in its originality and artistic merit. Her upcoming solo exhibition Displaced Processes will be showcased at the University Place Gallery at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. Lindsey resides in Orlando, Florida and is a faculty member teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and the UCF Art Gallery Director at the University of Central Florida.
